A practical nail scissors

Many cats wear down their nails themselves, for example, using a scratching post. However, in older or sick cats, or those that simply aren't very careful, the nails can sometimes grow too long. This can be unpleasant for the cat because it starts to walk on its nails, and in extreme cases, the nails can grow into the paw pads. Nail care is therefore very important. You can easily trim the nails yourself with the Ferplast Cat Nail Clippers.

The nail clippers can be used for cats and dogs, among other things. When clipping, be careful not to cut into the quick. With transparent nails, this will be visible as a pink spot in the nail. With dark nails, this is difficult to see. Therefore, never cut too far; often, simply snipping off the sharp tip is sufficient. If you do cut into the quick, it can bleed profusely, but fortunately, this is relatively harmless and usually stops on its own.

Tip: Many veterinarians are happy to help you trim nails. Have the veterinarian or vet nurse demonstrate it to ensure you don't cut too far, or ask one of our staff members in the store.
